Oggetti Risorti, Milan 1996.

Oggeti Risorti was an exhibition on up-cycling design projects during the milanese furniture fair Salone del Mobile in 1996. This is the first design exhibit curated by Niko with his university fellow Lorenzo Castellini and the older designer Riccardo Giovanetti. The three together developed the exhibit concept, found the sponsors and raised a budget, to produce the exhibition and a catalogue. Forty international young designers were involved among which Tom Dixon, Marco Ferreri, Konstantin Grcic, Christina Hamel, Kuno Prey., plus a few design students selected by a competition. The “italian design maestro” Bruno Munari was also involved as testimonial and critical / emotional supporter. The exhibition Oggetti Risorti was later listed as one of the best “fuorisalone events” of the year and widely published on design magazines among which Abitare with the cover of november of the same year. The sponsors Fratelli Branca and Replastic plus many technical supporters and countless volunteers made this project real.
